The infamous Sydney Opera House sought to create a new immersive tour experience through the conversion of a former back of house area.
Titled the Tours Immersive Digital Experience, ‘TIDE’ runs for 5 minutes and forms a part of the standard Opera House 1-hour tour.
The project was recognised with a Commendation in the 2021 Australian Interior Design Awards.
Drafting Solutions were engaged to model the hydraulic and electrical building services for the project, as well as coordinating other service trades. We also provided as constructed drawings and a manual.
There was a requirement for the provision of an LOD500 model at the completion of the project, and it was imperative that this model was within a 50mm tolerance.
A point cloud was taken during the construction process, we then overlayed these point clouds with our Revit models to check for model accuracy, and amendments were made as required.
