The Southern Queensland Correctional Precinct is a high security facility with over 1,500 beds, located in the Lockyer Valley 94km west of Brisbane.

Drafting Solutions has been contracted to provide services coordination, shop drawings and as constructed for the security services.
Given that this project was for a high security prison, the construction methods are primarily concrete block work walls which are made off-site. This presented a challenge for our component of the project, as most of our services need to be located within the panels.
All conduits located in the precast concrete walls were modelled and then checked against the precast contractor’s drawings to ensure that no conduits were missed during the concrete pours.
