The SkyCity Adelaide Casino expansion was a $330 million redevelopment incorporating an expansion to the SkyCity casino, as well as the construction of the new Eos Hotel. Featuring 120 luxury, 5-star rooms, function and conference spaces, expanded gaming, 4 new restaurants and 2 new bars, a spa and wellness centre, and a boutique pool.
Drafting Solutions were contracted to complete the AV services coordination and shop drawings, as well as performing a consulting role to the builder, Hansen Yuncken, to assist with the services coordination.
The project had very specific requirements to achieve the required function and aesthetics in both the casino and the hotel. The ceilings in the building were very complex and included chandelier light fittings and support structures, suspended monitors and projectors, exposed ductwork and cable trays.
Drafting Solutions assisted the builder in chairing coordination meetings between the building owner, architect, builder, and service trades. These meetings ensured that the requirements were being met between all parties, resulting in a fully coordinated ceiling plan prior to construction.
