The Victorian Government is building a new maximum security prison at Chisholm Road, Lara. It is designed to accommodate 1,248 prisoners and includes health, education, and recreational facilities.
Drafting Solutions were engaged to assist the CDC Plumbing & Drainage team to deliver the hydraulic shop drawings, as well as act as lead services coordinator for the in-ground services and provide services coordination for the above-ground services. We were also enlisted to produce shop drawings for the security contractor.
The challenging aspects of this project were the very tight timeframe for completion, as well as complex in-ground infrastructure requirements.
Drafting Solutions provided up to 12 drafting recourses to ensure the project timeframes were met. We also managed the in-ground services clash detection and held regular meetings with the builder and other service trades to ensure the model was delivered on-time and clash-free.
