About the Project

The Eastbourne apartment building is located opposite the Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne. The building consists of 242 luxury apartments over 11 levels on Albert Street, and 14 Levels on Victoria Parade; which also contains the new headquarters of the Freemasons Victoria.

THE TASK
Drafting Solutions was engaged to produce the hydraulic shop drawings and services coordination.

THE CHALLENGE
The underground carpark at The Eastbourne apartments was very complex. This level has low structural clearances as well as specific vehicle clearance heights and also contained the base of the plumbing drainage system and the mains and infrastructure for the water and  gas systems.

THE SOLUTION
Our drafting services involved a complete redesign of the plumbing drainage system on the basement level. This design enabled us to meet the requirements of the vehicle clearance heights by casting in some of the drainage within the concrete slab above. Once complete, detailed shop drawings were provided to the client to help facilitate the installation.
