About the Project
The Adelaide Oval redevelopment began construction in 2012, with two new grandstands and a refresh of the current amenities at the facility. With the aim of being the sporting destination for South Australia, Adelaide Oval is now home to the AFL teams the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide Power, a variety of Australian local and international cricket as well as hosting a series of domestic and international sporting events throughout the year.
In 2012, Drafting Solutions was contracted to provide service coordination and a series of shop drawings for the refrigeration systems. This included cool rooms, freezers, associated pipework and plant items.
The project was run on a very tight timeline due to upcoming international events already scheduled for the venue. Because of this, Drafting Solutions was precise and worked at a fast pace to produce the final products, to the requested time frame.
Our drafting services included providing detailed shop drawings for the refrigeration systems to allow the site team to carry out a seamless installation process. Having these drawings on site allowed for the project to be completed in a timely manner, which was crucial with the opening event looming throughout construction.
