About the Project
A student Accommodation building rising in Adelaide’s West End has more beds than any other in town.
Anticipated completion date of April 2019
Site establishment; consisting of 16 floors of rooms, 17th floor is roof level, plan room equipment. 772 beds.
This structure will feature walls on both the west and west elevations, with the façade greening spanning a total of 1,764 metres square, it will be the largest green wall in Australia.
THE TASK
Drafting Solutions were engaged to complete the Mechanical services drafting and overall services coordination.
THE CHALLENGE
This project was a design and construct contract, with spatial challenges within the building envelope. Being student accommodation, space for services was at a premium, requiring innovative solutions to services coordination.
THE SOLUTION
As such, coordination all of the services within the apartments required a high level of cooperation between trades in conjunction with building design. Regular workshops were conducted by Drafting Solutions in order to integrate services within the structure and architectural form of the building.
